Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Salesloft.
Product Designer
The interview process was fast and positive at first. But then, 2 hours before my third round interview, I got an email saying the hiring manager changed and the interview was postponed by 3 days. After receiving positive feedback from the hiring manager interview before the final one, I ended up as a backup candidate.
- Can you tell me about a project you recently worked on that you're most proud of?
Product Designer
Applied online and got a response after about a month. The interview started a bit late, and the interviewer seemed a bit distracted. We went through some general questions, nothing too hard. Then, I had to do a CCAT and a behavioral test, which felt a bit strange. I did them anyway out of curiosity. Heard back the next day, they went with someone else.
- Tell me about a time you made a mistake and how you fixed it.
Product Designer
The interview process was extremely professional and positive. I was regularly updated with detailed information about expectations and upcoming steps. It began with a recruiter phone interview where they discussed my past experience and provided insights into the team's needs for a new product designer. Following that, I scheduled a second phone interview with the Director of Product Design, who asked thoughtful questions and showed genuine interest in my background and career transition into Product Design. Next, I was invited for an in-person interview, which lasted about two and a half hours. The team ensured a comfortable and positive experience, making me feel at ease asking and answering questions. During this stage, I met with other product designers and employees I would collaborate with. The final stage involved a video call with the VP of Product Design, who asked more about my background and my interest in Salesloft. This made it easy to explain my potential fit for the team and get acquainted before a final decision. Everyone I interacted with was very positive and sincerely wanted to know more about me and my goals, creating an atmosphere of high positive energy.
