My recruiter Derek was great, and the whole thing took under a month. He was always on top of things. First, I had a chat with him, then a peer interview, a core values interview, an interview with the hiring manager, a panel interview, and finally a topgrade interview. It might sound like a lot, but they move fast, so it didn't feel like too much. Everyone I met was awesome, and I really liked the interview style – it felt like I could just be myself.

I applied on the SalesLoft website and HR got back to me quickly. After talking to HR, I got a take-home test. I spent a lot of time researching the company for it. Then I had a call with the hiring manager. I thought we'd talk about the take-home test, but they never brought it up. The next step was a call with two employees, and HR mentioned there was another finalist, so they were on a tight schedule. I had to rearrange my own meetings to fit their timeline. I had a very casual chat with one employee about life at SalesLoft. HR tried to set up a call with the second employee, but it never happened. I followed up multiple times, and they kept saying they were still trying to schedule it. It seemed strange because they were in such a rush before. I asked HR about the delay, and they said it was hard to get time with the team. It had been almost 7 weeks since my first interview, and they said there were still four more interviews left. I felt like HR wasn't being upfront about the delay, especially since they pushed me to schedule previous interviews so quickly. At that point, I withdrew my application because it didn't feel like a professional process.
- What motivates you to want to join SalesLoft?

It's a really quick process, and they were upfront about everything online. I felt respected the whole time. You'll probably go through a few steps: first, a recruiter chat about your history and the basics. Then, you'll meet with the hiring manager and some teammates, which might involve sales role-playing or going deep on technical stuff, depending on the job. They also have a separate interview focused on core values with people not on your direct team to check if you're a good cultural fit.
- How do you take to coaching and respond to feedback?
