I had an initial phone chat with the recruiter. The next week, I came into the office to meet the current employee in my role (who's retiring) and the same recruiter. Since it was during Covid-19, I know their process might've been different than usual, but they did take all the necessary precautions like social distancing and masks. After that, I was invited in again to meet with the CFO, who I'd be assisting. A few days later, I got a call with the job offer.

I sent in my application online and then was asked to call the general manager's answering machine to leave a voicemail. I did that, leaving my name and reason for calling. Soon after, the GM's assistant emailed me to set up an in-person interview, which we scheduled. The interview itself seemed to go fine, despite the GM making some weird comments about how I looked right when I got there. I sent a thank-you email after the interview, and the GM called me back a few days later with a job offer that I accepted.

After submitting my resume on Salem's website, I was contacted about a week later for an in-person interview with two hiring managers. The interview was pretty straightforward, and they gave me ample time to ask my own questions, which they answered honestly. I was told I'd meet the office manager next, and they called about two days later to set that up. This second interview was similar to the first, with the office manager asking a few new questions to assess my fit with the office culture. After that, I got a tour and met some staff. They offered me the job later that same day. It was a really respectful and time-valuing process.
