They mainly check 3 things: Basic knowledge – ICD-10, HCC basics, guidelines, a few scenarios. Also, Communication & confidence – how clearly you answer, even if your English isn't perfect. And Attitude – your willingness to learn, accept feedback, and work in a team. If you already know HCC / ICD basics, have real experience in coding / query solving / feedback, and can explain your work simply (like: “I review charts, assign diagnosis codes based on guidelines, and focus on accuracy and documentation”), then the interview becomes more like a normal conversation about your daily work, not a scary exam.

The interview process was pretty straightforward. First, there was an online assessment with aptitude, logic, and basic coding questions. Then, a technical interview where they wanted to know about my projects and how I solve problems. Lastly, an HR interview to check my communication, teamwork, and career plans. The panel was nice and let me explain my thinking, making it feel more interactive and less nerve-wracking.

First, there was an online test to filter candidates. It had quant aptitude (math, reasoning, problem-solving), logical reasoning, verbal ability (English, grammar), and for IT roles, some coding/technical MCQs. Then came the technical rounds. The first one was about coding and core concepts like data structures, algorithms, OOP, DBMS, OS, CN. For CS/IT it was this, but for other branches like E&TC or Mechanical, it was more about their subject knowledge and projects. The second technical interview was more advanced, possibly covering system design or practical stuff, like debugging, optimization, or how to design a solution. Finally, there was an HR round, which was a personal interview to check communication, confidence, and if you're a good fit culturally. They asked the usual: about yourself, why this company, strengths, weaknesses, future plans, and salary expectations. Then, the final selection.

The interview process included an aptitude round focusing on math, Python, data structures, and algorithms, followed by an SQL assessment. There was also a group discussion, and for those selected after the initial stages, a combined HR and technical round. Finally, a management round was conducted. The rounds were challenging and required careful time management.
