Saint Luke's Interview Questions
& Process

The interview is a thirty-minute session, conducted either via Zoom or in person. It focuses on experience-based questions tied to the company's core values, such as demonstrating stewardship or teamwork.

The interview process started with a recruiter screen, followed by a conversation with the hiring manager. Then, I interviewed with the wider team. The HR representative and their processes were very discouraging. Later, they asked for references and wanted them completed within 24 hours, which was during a week I had mentioned I'd be on vacation. After that, there was radio silence for almost two weeks. I had to reach out to the HR rep to find out they had offered the role to someone else. It seems like requesting references is unnecessary effort for someone who isn't under consideration.

It was an internal interview, pretty quick and not difficult at all since I was just moving departments within the same company. I had to show my phlebotomy certificates and we talked about the work schedule. The manager was friendly and emphasized that diligent employees are really important for the lab.

Applied in mid-February and got a call from HR for a phone screen. After that, HR scheduled me for an in-person interview a couple of weeks later. In the in-person interview, I first met with someone from HR who asked about 5 behavioral questions. Then, I met the team I would be working with, and it was more of a conversation with them asking different questions. After that, I submitted references through their electronic questionnaire. They said a decision would be made by mid-March, but after following up a few times, I haven't heard anything. The experience was good from the start to the interview, but it left a bad impression because Saint Luke's Health Systems doesn't follow up if you don't get the job. It would be more respectful if they changed this practice since applicants spend a lot of time on the process.
