Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Saint-Gobain.
Management Trainee
The interview process started with an online test that had both aptitude and technical questions. After that, a few students were shortlisted for an interview. This role was open to Mechanical and Electrical Engineering graduates. My background is EEE, and the interview was purely technical, focusing on the fundamentals.
- Could you explain how an electric motor works?
- What is the efficiency of motors and generators?
- What distinguishes a synchronous motor from an asynchronous motor?
Quality Manager
Got quick responses and had 3 interviews in person. First was with HR, second with the Hiring Manager, and the third was onsite. The process is set up really well, and you know what's next right away. The onsite included a panel interview and a tour.
- Can you explain your understanding of managing and building a QMS?
Communication Manager
The hiring process took a while, about 2 months from the first chat to the offer. I had 4 interviews in total: one with HR, then the manager, then the director, and finally HR again to check my language skills.
- What do you think about the social media communication strategy?
- What kind of content would you propose?
