I went in and filled out a form, then they asked if I was interested in going door-to-door selling ADT software. They mentioned an hourly tech role but the manager wasn't available to talk. I left my resume with the manager, expecting them to reach out. I got a text about 16 hours later saying they were moving forward.

I did an online application, then had a phone call with some screening questions, and after that, I came in for an in-person interview. Reading other comments I saw there was a script to follow, but really it’s just to keep you on track and make sure you cover all your points. It seemed a little daunting at first, but honestly, it’s so helpful!

When I got there, we had to fill out a form. Then, we were brought into a room with a small group of people and two people from the company spoke to us. We could ask them questions about the position. After they finished talking and we were done with our questions, one of the two people pulled two of us from the group at a time to talk to us individually. While I was waiting, I researched the company on Glassdoor and decided to leave before my individual interview. So, I didn't complete the full interview process. The way they described the hourly pay seemed a bit questionable. The job itself seemed easy: you call people, explain the product, and confirm if they're the homeowner. If they are interested, you pass them to a 'closer' who finishes the sale. They start you at $8/hour, but say you can move up to $9/hour the next week if you meet a goal of 2 sales. If you hit that goal, you get $9/hour the following week. However, you have another goal for that week, and if you don't meet it, you go back to earning $8/hour.
