Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Safaricom.
Software Engineer
Went through online codility tests and then an interview on hirevue. Didn't have any physical interviews that I know of, but I might be mistaken. Overall it was a good experience and pretty challenging for many people I know.
- Tell me about a time you used data structures and algorithms.
Software Engineer
The interview process was quite rigorous and they were looking for quality candidates. The interviewers were nice and tried to help out. On the downside, it took a very long time. Also, they used tests like Codility which might not be the best way to find good employees. They also put a lot of focus on gender and inclusivity, which is good, but maybe too much, making quality less of a focus.
- Can you briefly introduce yourself?
Software Engineer
The interview process was smooth and well-organized. It began with an online assessment on Codility, followed by a comprehensive interview with the hiring manager. Overall, the experience was positive, and I received encouraging feedback, which reinforced my interest in the role and company.
