Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Safaricom.
Intern
I did a Codility test which I found to be of average difficulty, it included 3 coding questions. I'm now waiting to do the Hirevue test. Curious about what questions to expect for a data engineering role.
- Code in Python
- Code in PostgreSQL
- Code in PySpark
Internship
You'll need to submit an application first. Once done, you'll get an email confirmation, and then you can move on to the assessment. The assessment includes some tricky questions, but there's enough time to complete them. They also ask questions related to the specific role you applied for.
- Were there any basic marketing questions, for instance about CPC?
Internship
The interview process is pretty involved and technical for what I thought was an entry-level role. I get wanting to really check out candidates, but the difficulty level might really scare off new grads or people just starting their careers. It almost makes you think the job isn't as open as it sounds. Maybe a mix of technical stuff with some problem-solving or just seeing potential would be better and more welcoming for people new to the field.
- Could you describe how your personal development journey could contribute to our company community and help foster a positive environment for your colleagues?
