First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sachin and Babi.
Software Development Engineer
The interview had two rounds. The first round was a 30-35 minute online technical interview. It began with two Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) and coding problems, which I had to code in a shared document. The questions were: 1. A standard dynamic programming problem about counting ways to climb n stairs with 1 or 2 jumps at a time. 2. Another dynamic programming problem asking if a number n can be represented as a sum of Fibonacci numbers up to n. For example, if N=10, Fibonacci numbers are 1, 2, 3, 5, 8. The answer is Yes because 5+3+2 = 10. The interviewer also asked basic Operating System (OS) questions about mutex, deadlock, semaphore, and race conditions. The round concluded with me asking about the company and the responsibilities of the full-time role. The second round was a 20-minute HR round with the CEO. He presented two puzzles, which were a bit tricky. The key is to communicate your thought process, even if you don't find the exact answer. Due to the recession, they reduced the number of hires to 3 and didn't maintain a waitlist, otherwise, I might have been first. My interviews were good, and even though an offer was rejected, it wasn't considered.
- It was an online technical round. It started off with straight 2 DSA and coding problems. I was asked to code it on a document shared by the interviewer.
Software Engineer
The interview process started with an online test on Hackerrank, which had easy to medium questions. Then there was a technical round via zoom. After that, an HR round through an app. Finally, a CTO round also on zoom.
- Can you explain Object Oriented Programming concepts?
- Tell me about your experience with Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA).
- What do you know about Database Management systems?
Web Developer
The interview for the Web Developer role was pretty straightforward and organized. They wanted to see if I had the technical chops and could think through problems. It was broken down into a few parts to check my tech skills, what I've done in projects, and how I communicate.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What technical skills do you possess?
- Describe your communication abilities.
VP Marketing and Sales
It was several rounds, really professional and nice. I got to meet with heads of departments and the founders. I could ask questions that helped me understand the brand and what they expected.
- Tell me about your strengths.
- What are your career aspirations for the next 3-5 years?
- Have you previously worked for a smaller brand?
