UX Designer
Applied and got a callback about a week later. Then, we scheduled the first interview with the recruiter. About a week and a half after that, I had the design management interview. It was virtual and had two parts: standard interview questions and then a 'design challenge' where they showed me two interface examples and asked for my suggestions for improvement. They mentioned asking questions is encouraged, but it turned out to be unhelpful because the interviewers didn't even know the products they were presenting and couldn't answer basic questions. I also asked about job security and the recent layoffs. The interviewer answered professionally, but their mood shifted, and they ended the interview abruptly after saying more layoffs might happen but it wasn't certain.
- Can you describe your past experiences and career background?
- How are your teamwork skills?
- Considering these two design examples, what modifications would you suggest?
User Experience Designer
this interview was remote and allowed for time between each virtually recorded response. a question would be presented, then you would be given 30 seconds to answer via a recorded message.
- What are your motivations for wanting to join Saber?

I applied online and got an email about setting up an interview and a front-end development challenge, which had about 7 coding questions. This wasn't in the job description, so I was unsure why I was asked to do it. But I did my best. They said to reach out if I had questions, so I emailed them asking about the programming, but never heard back. I followed up a few weeks later and still heard nothing.
- Did you have some CSS questions?
- Were there more problem-solving programming questions?
