So the interview had two rounds. The first one was with two people, where one focused on manual testing and the other on automation. The second round was with the manager. He started by asking about projects I worked on for the past 2 years, then my roles and responsibilities, and finally about different testing scenarios and techniques. After getting feedback, he mentioned they were looking for someone with my experience in the travel domain, and HR would contact me. Unfortunately, I got an email the next day saying I was rejected.

So after my friend referred me, I had to send in my CV and do this online form thing. Sabre uses headhunters, so the first call was from one of those, about 20 mins. It was all the usual HR stuff, like why here, what makes you awesome, how you'll help the company, and your 5-year plan. They might check your English, but she just took my word for it. Usually, you get another call from someone technical at Sabre, but because I was referred, they just invited me for a face-to-face. Oh, and I had to do an online test on business terms, which I'm pretty sure I bombed, but the HR lady said it's not a big deal. The final interview was split into two: first, a chat with future teammates for about 1-2 hours, asking technical questions. Then, a talk with the managers, who asked fewer technical questions, but threw in some logic, analytical, and behavioral ones, plus a quick whiteboard coding problem. Sometimes people from different teams interview you, so even if one team isn't keen, another might be, which is good. After it's all done, they just walk you out, no feedback given. HR will let you know in days or weeks - I waited over two weeks! They all get together afterwards to rate you on tech skills, problem-solving, motivation, and how you come across. It's pretty subjective, and if you don't get in, you can't reapply for a year.

The interview process started with an online test featuring multiple-choice questions and two coding challenges, both with negative marking. This was followed by three separate interview rounds, each lasting approximately one hour. The first was a technical round focusing on data structures, DBMS, OS, and OOP concepts, including a coding exercise for a backtracking problem. The subsequent round was a management interview, where questions were based on the candidate's resume. The final stage was an HR round.
