Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sabre.
Product Manager
I went through a few phone interviews, starting with HR. I think I spoke with a Director and then a VP, and they seemed interested in bringing me in for an in-person interview. After sending thank you emails, I didn't hear back for a couple of weeks, so I started reaching out to the HR rep by phone and email. Unfortunately, I never got a response. When I checked the career website, my application status was updated to 'Reviewed; Not Selected.' I was never even given the basic courtesy of a call or an email to let me know. While I do like the company's products and their innovation, the way their HR handled things and showed a lack of respect for candidates makes me hesitant about working there.

- What relevant experience do you have?
- Tell me about your experience with e-commerce product management.
Principal Product Manager
It started with a recruiter call, then a phone chat with the hiring manager and the VP. If you passed that, you went for an on-site which was a long day with about 6-8 one-on-one chats. The on-site was followed by a slow process to get a call back. The one-on-ones were often with people from totally different departments, and they might offer you a different role even if the initial one wasn't a match. Once I got hired, I became part of the interviewing group for my area.
- Can you walk me through your background?
- How much do you know about the product you might manage?
- Tell me about your experience with Fleet Planning if that's the product you'd manage.
Product Manager Intern
It was a video interview with pre-recorded questions. They were mostly basic behavioral questions. They also asked about my long-term interest in the Dallas market, which I wasn't sure how to answer.
- Why did you choose Sabre?
- Do you see yourself staying in the Dallas market long-term?
