Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SABIC.
HR
I applied online and had an initial phone call. Then I had a first and second interview, followed by a salary negotiation. I interviewed with the recruitment department, HR, and internal clients. It was a friendly atmosphere and a professional process. I had plenty of opportunities to ask questions, and they provided clear explanations about the role, department, and company. They followed up quickly after the interviews.
- Why SABIC?
Human Resources
I applied online. About 2 weeks later, I had an initial 30-minute phone screen with a recruiter. That was followed a few weeks later by an on-site interview with several team members. Over a month later, I hadn't heard anything, so I followed up and was invited to meet on-site with the director. Several more weeks passed before they asked me to meet with HR again to continue the discussion. Then, several more weeks of no communication or follow-up.
- Why are you interested in SABIC?
- Are you open to relocation?
- What are your salary expectations?
Human Resources
It was a 30-minute Teams interview. They told me about the company and the position, and asked me questions about my experience related to the role. The position opened up because someone retired. The HR Manager and the Plant Manager were there.
- Can you tell me about yourself and your professional experiences?
