First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SABIC.
Intern
The interview process was very thorough and welcoming. The interviewer was very welcoming and asked relevant and deep questions. They went over my resume and asked about every section. It was on time and very competitive.
- What do you know about our company?
- Can you tell me about your experience listed on your resume?
- What do you consider your biggest strengths?
Intern
First, I had an introductory call with the recruiter. Then, they sent me logic and English tests. Later, there was a call with another recruiter where they asked me some questions in English. Finally, I had a personal and in-person presentation (with all candidates) in a pitch format about my professional journey, explaining why I should work at the company. It's worth noting that the formal parts started 1.5 hours late, and it wasn't mentioned that it would last the whole day, although they did offer meals.
- Why do you want to do an internship if you already have a degree?
Intern
I had an initial call with HR, followed by a call with a team member. The interview focused on data mining and machine learning concepts. I felt I answered everything well, but they might have been seeking a PhD candidate. The interviewer seemed distant and didn't react much to my responses. Interestingly, their background was in chemistry, so they lacked deep knowledge of machine learning specifics. Towards the end, they discussed the manufacturing unit and their work location.
- Can you explain Naive Bayes?
- Could you walk me through the projects listed on your resume?
