I got a call in September to be submitted for an interview, & the recruiter didn't contact me again until late October to set up a time. I had completely forgot about the role by then but decided to give it a shot. The interview felt very robotic and not interesting at all. Furthermore, they don't let you know if you got rejected or not but the recruiter kindly gave me feedback upon my request. Overall, I wouldn't waste my time with a company like this who doesn't value the time of the candidate. Do better Ryan Specialty !

I applied for a role at Ryan Specialty and had a phone interview set up with a recruiter. On the day of the interview, about 20 minutes before it was supposed to start, I got an email saying the position had already been filled that morning. Since I applied on Friday, the day after the job was posted, and was scheduled to interview the next Tuesday, the timing seemed strange and made me wonder if the job was even legitimate. Plus, the recruiter misspelled my name in the email. While that might seem small, attention to detail is a big part of a recruiter's job, and it just added to my disappointment. All in all, the whole experience felt disorganized and unprofessional.

The interview process was very stress-free and welcoming. I met several people in the office, and the staff seemed friendly, making the work environment appear great. The interview started with a straightforward virtual meeting, and then I came into the office to meet the team.

Applied and a recruiter got back to me over a month later. The interviews themselves were pretty uneventful. First interview with the recruiter, then a 2nd interview with the President + Underwriter both went well enough. I was then told that the local team wanted to "take me to lunch", where a few questions were asked. Afterwards, all parties went radio silent for one week. Almost exactly one week after meeting the local team (Note: President and Underwriter I interviewed with were NOT part of this meeting), I was declined. I was told that they needed to fill this position urgently, but they didn't reach out to me for a full month after my application, and decided to sit on my status for a full week before declining.
