Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at RWE.
Risk Analyst
The interview began with a brief overview of the company and the role. This was followed by questions about my professional background, specifically concerning market, credit, and operational risks. After that, practical case studies and my approach to handling stressful decision-making situations were discussed. Finally, there was an opportunity for me to ask questions.
- How would you identify, quantify, and clearly communicate a significant risk in energy trading to management?
Market Risk Analyst
Met the local manager for the first interview, which was face-to-face. Then had a second interview online with the CFO and division lead. It was a fair mix of technical and interpersonal questions. The interviews were very patient and friendly.
- Could you list the various sources of risk?
Risk Analyst
It was a video interview with HR and the Department Head, followed by a project related to counterparty credit risk and Delta Hedging. The Department Head likes to ask questions that test your attention to things outside the scope of work.
- What are your thoughts on standard HR questions?
- Can you discuss counterparty credit risk?
- Tell me about Delta Hedging.
