First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at RWE.
Renewable Energy Engineer
I had an IQ test and then an EQ test, then proceeded to the second stage where I had an interview. It went good, the environment was quite chill, and the interviewer was very nice, however they did not select me.
- Can you share an instance where you had to step out of your comfort zone?
Senior Electrical Engineer
This was the first interview, lasting about ten minutes. They asked questions about my CV and my reasons for choosing their company. The interview was in English, but they also inquired about my German language proficiency.
- Why did you choose to apply to our company?
Electrical Engineer
The interview was conducted online with 3 RWE colleagues. Unfortunately, the conversation was heavily focused on outdated questions that didn't really lead to getting to know each other. Instead of focusing on the essentials and asking technical questions, there were many 'what if...' scenarios. The job description listed Dormagen as the location, but it turned out during the interview that the work location is Essen, not Dormagen. My comment about the advertisement stating otherwise was ignored, and they claimed it couldn't be true.
- What are your motivations for changing jobs?
