Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at RWE.
Senior Consultant
Got to the first round only, but it was a really great interview. It was quick, to the point, asked all the right questions, and gave all the info needed. Got feedback not long after, and it was a personal phone call where the interviewer gave real, helpful feedback.
- Can you discuss your overall experience?
- Could you elaborate on your specific experience related to this role and its associated tasks?
Consultant
The first step was a phone interview with HR. It was pretty straightforward with standard questions, nothing tricky, and they didn't really dig deep. No brain teasers either, it seemed like they just wanted to check the basic requirements. They went through my resume, asked some HR questions, and then we clarified any outstanding questions and covered organizational stuff. The answers to my questions were really informative, so definitely take advantage of that! It was a nice conversation with a good atmosphere, even over the phone.
- Why in-house consulting?
- Why RWE Consulting?
Consultant
The first interview was really nice and felt like a conversation between peers. At the end, they said they'd call by the end of the week. But, no call ever came. I tried reaching out over the next two weeks, but heard nothing back. Eventually, I got an automated rejection email. They also didn't respond when I asked for feedback.
- Why RWE, the energy sector, and in-house consulting?
- Standard STAR method questions.
