I spoke with the local Branch Manager, a Managing Director in that Branch, and then the head of North America. The assessment test they gave me was surprisingly easy to game, and I could tell I was giving them the answers they wanted to hear. They told me I got the highest score ever on it. However, I wasn't a good cultural fit, so I learned that gaming assessment tests isn't the way to go.

Behavioral Technical

A recruiter from Russell Reynolds reached out, mentioning my credentials. The process was partly well-organized but had some disjointed moments. I encountered repeated questions, even from the same interviewer, who unsettlingly suggested staying in touch regardless of the outcome, not once but twice. This, along with persistent inquiries about my willingness to travel rather than focusing on my capabilities for the role's responsibilities, felt unusual for a position at this level. I also completed several online psychological assessments. The feedback I received felt vague, like interpreting omens, with the assessor stating I was 'very smart' with 'great critical thinking' but unable to provide specifics on my responses. They mentioned having a scientific and creative mind and no career derailers.

The interview process included a 2-hour online test that mixed personality and IQ questions. After that, there was a one-on-one chat that was very conversational. The main point they want to see is if you can manage relationships and not just get business. They are looking for Russell Reynolds type people who come to them.
