So I had a phone call with HR first, it was pretty basic, just checking my work history and experience. Then, I went in for an in-person interview with HR, which was pretty informal with common interview questions. On the same day, I also met with the unit manager for an in-person interview. They gave me a tour of the unit and introduced me to the other RNs, and I got to ask them questions.

I applied for an RN position a while back, but the experience was so bad I wanted to share. I had an in-person interview with the nurse manager. When I got there, she seemed dismissive from the start, maybe because I didn't meet her expectations visually or maybe she just wasn't interested. During the interview, she had a really disinterested attitude, especially when I asked questions. She even left for about 15 minutes to talk to a doctor who was quitting, which felt like a waste of time. When she returned, she asked the same questions again, like she hadn't been listening. Then she asked if I'd be willing to chat with some other nurses, who were much nicer and more engaging – I felt a good connection with them. After that, the nurse manager and I finished up, and she vaguely said to 'be on the look out.' I sent a thank you email afterward and even asked for feedback but never heard back. It felt unprofessional and disorganized. Now, about six months later, HR called me about other opportunities, but honestly, after that experience, I'm not interested in working there.

I had a phone call with a mini interview, then set up a virtual interview with the manager. After that, I was scheduled for a shadow shift, but I never heard back and my status wasn't updated in the system. The shadow shift was basically 2 hours of me shadowing another nurse, seeing the floor, and demonstrating skills. It was also to see if I fit in. I thought everything went well but never heard back.
