Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Rubber-Cal.
Data Entry Clerk
The interview kicked off on Zoom and wrapped up in under ten minutes. There were about nine questions in total. This was the initial stage of the job interview process and my very first proper job interview.
- Can you tell me about your background, education, and work history?
- What skills and qualities do you think are important for a data entry clerk?
- Do you have an example of using software like Microsoft Excel in school?
Data Entry Clerk
I interviewed for this position. Three people spoke with me: HR, a random girl, and Josh. They all asked the same questions. I had to fill out 4-5 pages of paperwork, which included questions about my work style, credit score, and ability to follow orders. They asked me to bring a resume but didn't look at it. I was told I'd be contacted the next week to speak with another man, but they never got in touch and ghosted me. Based on other reviews, I think I avoided a lot of mental abuse from the CEO, Beau.
- Can you tell me about yourself, your school background, and your work experience?
Data Entry Clerk
So I arrived and first had to fill out a job application, even though I'd already applied on Indeed. A lot of the questions were about my life experiences and if I'm good at following directions, plus some math questions like 'what's 1/8 of an inch?'. While I was filling it out, I could hear what sounded like the CEO yelling at someone for about 10 minutes straight. After that, they took me into a room for an Excel test and to chat about my past experience. They offered me a second interview, but honestly, after hearing the CEO, I declined.
- Can you tell me about your past experiences?
- Are you skilled at following instructions?
- Could you solve this measurement problem: what is 1/8 of an inch?
