Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at RTI International.
Business Development Manager
I had a whole day of interviews. I was in a conference room and different managers and directors came in to interview me. Some interviews were with two people, and some were just one-on-one.
- Can you tell me about your past experience?
Business Development
I went through three interviews with RTI, and they all seemed to go great. They appeared really enthusiastic about bringing me on board. They said they'd follow up within a week, but I never heard back, even after I tried contacting them a few times. Honestly, I felt pretty disrespected by the whole experience.
- The interviews were more like discussions about my thoughts and perspectives rather than direct or tough questions.
Business Development
I had a brief phone call first, then I was invited for an in-person interview at their office in DC. The receptionist was nice and showed me to the room. Two people from the RTI Business Development team interviewed me. The whole thing took a little less than an hour.
- What are your career goals related to this role?
- Can you describe your experience with proposal writing and research?
