Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at RTI International.
Analyst
Interviews started out okay but then got super unproductive and a waste of time. I interviewed six times and they asked the same questions over and over, like they forgot they already asked or something. I also had to do a bunch of long activities. They seemed to really like my answers and thought I'd be a good fit, but then I never heard back. I emailed them about what was next but got nothing, not even a message saying they went with someone else, filled the spot, or a simple no thanks. I feel like they took my time, effort, and ideas and gave me unprofessionalism and disrespect in return. If RTI wants to claim their work is great, they should act like it and treat people right. Doing business this way is wrong; everyone deserves to be treated like a professional, no matter the job they're applying for.
- What makes you the best candidate for this role?
Analyst
This is for an intern interview. They just ask for some basic personal info and then we wait for the results. The environment there is perfect.
- Can you tell me about your previous project experiences?
- Do you require visa sponsorship?
Pricing Analyst
I had 3 rounds of interviews. First, I had a phone call with HR and then my hiring manager. Second, I had an in-person interview on the same day where I met with 2 coworkers and 2 managers. It was professional and engaging.
- Tell me about your previous pricing experience.
- How comfortable are you working with Excel?
- Can you describe some of the most significant challenges you encountered at your last job?
