After completing standard psychometric tests, you might be invited to an online assessment centre, provided there's still availability. This online assessment is quite comprehensive, featuring 4-5 tasks throughout the day. You'll be evaluated on your ability to understand large amounts of text and data, then asked to provide recommendations and justifications, both verbally and repeatedly, and will be challenged on your decisions. Another task involves working with another candidate, plus a task requiring timetabling decisions. You'll also have an interview with two panelists. There's one more task I can't recall, but if you're capable, you shouldn't be overly concerned. If you're successful, after a significant wait, you'll be notified and potentially moved to the final stage, again depending on job availability. The final stage includes a last interview and an office tour. If unsuccessful, you'll likely need to email to inquire about the outcome.

Went through to the assessment centre. It was a pretty standard process: application, online assessment, job simulation, and then the assessment centre. I didn't make it to the final in-person interview after the assessment centre, though. The virtual assessment centre started with a partner giving an introduction and a chance to ask them questions. Then, I had a one-on-one with a hiring manager. They asked me about my responsibilities, the importance of expertise, how I adapt to change, how I handle unexpected events, how I take constructive feedback, and why I want to work for RSM. After that, there was a group exercise where we had to decide which project to take on out of two options. Then, a data exercise where I had to recommend the best option, outlining the pros and cons. Following that, using the same data, I had to write an email to my manager summarizing the findings, providing recommendations, and suggesting next steps. Finally, there was a calendar exercise.

This was an awful experience, not what I expected from a peer company towards a Big 4 experienced candidate. The HR was unprofessional and lacked honesty and courtesy. Even though it was a referral and an urgent need, the HR took two months to respond and schedule the interview, despite my follow-ups. There was also misinformation about the first round being personal when it turned out to be fully technical. I prepared for audit areas I'd worked on but not in depth, assuming the second round would be the technical one. The HR clearly didn't care. I had to call them myself to find out I didn't get through, and they tried to justify their error shamelessly. Overall, a disappointing experience that shouldn't happen to anyone else.
