Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at RS Software.
Technical Consultant
There are generally three rounds of interviews: Technical, Client, and HR, possibly followed by two or three negotiation rounds. The clients are very well-behaved and professional. The first interviews are usually over the phone, and sometimes clients will conduct their interviews over the phone as well. However, in some cases, they might invite you to the offshore location for your selection.
- The interview questions are usually pretty straightforward and easy.
- If the clients really want you on their team, there's no stopping that.

My profile was shortlisted by RS Software's recruitment team, and they called my mobile. They explained the job details and the process for the client and technical rounds. There were two telephonic technical interviews, one of which was the client round. Finally, there was an HR interview.
- Can you provide scenario-based questions related to Testing?
- Do you have questions about advanced unix shell scripting?
- What are your thoughts on test methodologies?
Technical Consultant
I interviewed for a Java Solutions Architect role. First, there was a 45-minute phone call, then a 15-minute Skype call. After that, I had a 15-minute discussion with some Senior Management Team members. To finish, there were two HR rounds.
- Describe how you would approach this task.
- Explain why you wouldn't choose an alternative method.
