Account Coordinator
I applied through a recruiter I knew from before. We had a phone screen first, and then I went onsite for 3 interviews back-to-back with 5 different team members. Each interview was about 20 minutes long and had mostly the same questions.
- What draws you to the advertising industry?
- Can you tell me about a current ad campaign that you find particularly compelling?
- Is meticulous attention to detail something you value in your work?
Account Coordinator
I had a phone interview for a mid-level position, but it got rescheduled. After that, they told me I should consider entry-level roles due to my lack of agency experience. So, I had another phone interview for an entry-level position, which was also rescheduled. After the call, they said they'd be in touch, but then ghosted me for about six weeks. Suddenly, they called me in for an in-person interview. When I got there, the hiring managers had the wrong resume – for someone else with a similar name! They thought I used to work at Hooters, can you believe it? Luckily, I had extra resumes. After the interview, they told me I was overqualified for entry-level. I followed up a few times but heard nothing back.
- What makes you want to get into Advertising?
- What attracts you to Account Management?
Account Coordinator
There were several steps, beginning with an initial screening, then a phone screening, and finally two main interviews. Getting a referral is highly recommended since the marketing field is very competitive, but a referral can really help you get your foot in the door.
- How do you approach conflict resolution?
