The interview was conducted via Skype, although the interviewer kept her camera off. She was quite patient and calm throughout. The conversation mainly focused on dinner duties, including specific questions about the courses and their names. She also asked about my experience on the first night and how I approached introducing myself to guests.

I had a face-to-face and an online interview. There was also a medical checkup and visa processing. Before the interview, there was onboard training, and I interviewed with a recruiter and a cruise representative who visited Mauritius. I also received training in culinary skills and in the hotel before the interview. I had the opportunity to train and work with great chefs like Chef Jean Marie Barrate.

So basically, the interview covered stuff like chopping board colors, food safety, steak temps, and the hand test for doneness. She skipped the 'tell me about yourself' part.
