The recruiting process started off great, especially since the company seemed to be in a rush. After I submitted a business case, they just stopped responding, and I got no feedback. I had to chase the recruiter for 8 weeks before finally getting a rejection email. It's frustrating because the business case was quite challenging. I thought I liked the company, but I can't respect an organization that doesn't respect candidates' time. They suggested keeping in touch, but I won't work for a company with that attitude. I hope they don't contact me again.

The whole process took about two weeks. It started with a meeting with my direct supervisor. Then I met with some leadership from the team I would be supporting. The final round was with the HR AVP. After that, I had a drug and background test done by a third party, although they don't do drug tests anymore.

The interview process went smoothly overall, and all the people I met were very friendly. I had a final in-person interview that also went well. I was really looking forward to the opportunity and working there, but unfortunately, after the interview, I was ghosted by the recruiter and never heard back. I tried reaching out via email and text, as we had been communicating via text throughout the entire process. I was quite shocked by the lack of respect shown after I had spent hours preparing and interviewing. It's a shame because I think working for another cruise line would be a better option, and shame on Royal for handling it this way.
