I got an email from a campus recruiter about an internship opening, specifically because of my Business Analytics minor, as the Senior Manager needed business students. We had a phone call where they explained the role and daily tasks more. This was like a screening, mostly logistical questions like US work eligibility and Miami housing, no real behavioral stuff. A few days later, I spoke with the Senior Manager of the unit. They asked me to go over my resume first. Since the role needed strong Excel skills, they asked about my experience, my understanding of pivot tables and filters, and any classwork involving Excel. The interview was about 20 minutes, including my questions for them. About a week after that, the recruiter let me know they hired someone else. Even though I didn't get an offer, it was a good experience.

I found this internship through a university program. When I interviewed, I met with about 4-5 people from the department that same day. They talked a lot about how the department is set up and how things work there. Then, they asked me some simple questions about myself. They really wanted to know what questions I had for them about their jobs and what they do every day.

The interview process was long, from December to February, with multiple rounds including behavioral interviews with senior leaders and a case study. I had 5 interviews in total. While the talks were interesting, the long timeline and lack of communication made it feel slow. Getting a generic rejection email after months was disappointing and felt impersonal.
