First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at RoviSys.
Software Engineer
The interview process was very straightforward. I met with four employees plus one HR rep and everyone was very kind. They asked a lot of repeat questions as each interview was separate, but everything was very easy to answer and nothing I would consider not a standard interview question. There were no official technical questions, but I mentioned my experience with some of their software and they did ask some follow-ups that were more technical, so if you do bring up any of your skills be prepared for questions. Overall very easy, just maintain a positive attitude and bring a water bottle (my interview went about fifteen minutes over).
- What motivated your choice of major?
- What aspects of Rovisys attracted you to this role?
- Can you describe a situation where you had to reprimand a team member or project participant you were leading? How did you handle the confrontation and conflict resolution?
Software Engineer
The interview was about 90 minutes long and split into three separate meetings with different company folks. Each meeting was 20-30 minutes and they asked more general questions, not super technical ones. They mostly wanted to know about my background, what I've done, and how I solve problems. It felt pretty structured but also like a chat, and I got to see different parts of the company. Had to wait an extra 20 mins cause Zoom was acting up.
- Could you tell me about your history and experience?
- What's your method for problem-solving when working with a team?
- What about this position and our company appeals to you?
Software Engineer
I interviewed at their aurora, Ohio location. They had two start time options, 8am or 12pm, and I chose the later one since I was driving 4 hours. They had a lunch with some employees which was great to learn about day-to-day work. After lunch, there was a quick presentation and a tour of the facility. Then I had seven 20-minute interviews. The interviews weren't hard at all and had very few technical questions, mostly focusing on my resume and behavioral questions. The staff and interview process seemed really organized and I liked it. I think it's cool that the company does all the interviews on site and at once, and they promised a response in 2 weeks. Honestly, I'm a bit confused why I didn't get an offer. I'll be following up soon.
- Can you tell me about the projects you have developed?
