Behavioral Technical Presentation Other

Online interview, normal, they ask you to speak English. Next stage, in person, to say the same thing and talk about your life details, they ask everything. They asked for a drawing, things you like most and why, who is the person closest to you and suddenly you have to role-play that person for the interviewer to ask questions, as if you were that other person in the room and no longer yourself. Super psychological. Totally unnecessary.

First week we had a 30 minute screening call, mostly about the company, if your commute is reasonable, and your salary expectations. Then a 30 minute call with the hiring manager in the second week. Finally, in the third week, I met with 2 team members for an hour.

Behavioral Technical

I was really looking forward to possibly joining this organization, but my excitement faded after my interview with the comms team. They didn't ask me questions that would help them get to know me, like 'why Rotary' or 'tell me about yourself.' It didn't seem like they were interested in that. They mostly asked behavioral questions, which is okay, but it doesn't give a full picture of a candidate. The interviewers seemed really casual, one was even messy. I think an HR person should sit in on some interviews. They didn't make a good impression, and Rotary doesn't come across as very inclusive or welcoming. They didn't even ask about diversity or international initiatives. It was strange.

Behavioral

So I had a screening phone call that took about 30 minutes. Then after that, there were a bunch of panel interviews. The first one was with some of the leadership, and it lasted about an hour. Then there was a second panel interview with more of my potential colleagues, and that one was also an hour. The feedback I got during the interviews was really good, and honestly, most of the people I talked to seemed really engaged and interested in me. But then I got ghosted. I had to chase down the HR person to find out what was going on, and surprise, they rejected me without even telling me. If I hadn't pushed, I would have never known. Super unprofessional, especially given how much this place is usually praised.
