First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Root Inc..
Product Analyst
First, I had an interview with the hiring manager. After that, I went through an online technical interview. The technical interview itself was quite manageable; two interviewers observed my data analysis process and how I reasoned through my conclusions. I actually finished it in half the time that was allocated. The interviewers confirmed I had answered all the questions correctly and mentioned they wouldn't have done anything differently. Unfortunately, I didn't receive an offer, and the company never followed up with me.
- Can you tell me about your experience in the insurance industry?
Product Analyst
The interview process started with a phone screening by HR, followed by a SQL paired technical call with a team member. Then there was a work sample, and finally, I had to defend the case from round 3. The whole process was pretty smooth, and the HR person was really helpful! Everyone I met was enthusiastic and friendly! It was seriously the best interview experience ever~~
- What makes you want to join this company?
- Can you share your experience with SQL?
- What accomplishment are you most proud of?
Product Analyst
I had an HR Call first, then a phone technical interview that covered my resume. After that, it was an on-site interview with 3 technical rounds, a programming test, a conversational interview, and an HR interview. It seemed to go well, they liked my skills, but no offer in the end.
- Can you tell me about a regression project you worked on?
