Behavioral Technical Coding

Had a recruiter call, then an interview with a data scientist where we talked about general data science knowledge and broader statistics concepts. After that, there was a live coding session with a case study done in a Jupyter notebook, and GenAI was allowed. The whole thing took about 4 hours of work and interview time.

Technical Case Coding

Started with a recruiter call, then had a technical interview that involved a case study, followed by a take-home assessment. It took a few weeks to get feedback on my submission, and then they suggested I might be a better fit for a data analyst role. Since that would be a step down from my current position, I declined. They mentioned the assessment should take about 4 hours, but it felt like they expected much more work than could realistically be done in that time. It was disappointing because I was interested in the company and had the right experience for the job.

Confirmed questions5 questions

  • Test basic modeling knowledge.
  • For the take-home assessment, please engineer features.

Technical Coding

The interview process consists of 5 stages: first, resume screening, followed by a take-home exam. Then, there's an introductory meeting, which I'm currently in. After that, there's a technical interview and a final remote interview. I'll share more if I pass the final round.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • I'm currently working on the take-home exam, where I need to perform data manipulation on provided CSV data, and then proceed to a machine learning phase.
