I had a really bad time interviewing with Roofstock. The process was super long and tiring. I spent a whole day talking to different people and then they just ghosted me. It had many rounds and tons of interviews with different team members. Some people were nice, but others seemed bored and didn't really care about the company or the job. I put in a lot of time and effort, and they still ghosted me. It's not professional and it's disrespectful to candidates who put in the work. I wouldn't recommend applying there because it shows a bad company culture.

The interview process had a really good progression. It started with talking to talent to get a sense of the business overall, the culture, and salary expectations. Then, I spoke with my potential manager, teammates, and potential stakeholders in different rounds. It was a well-rounded interview process that gave me insight into many areas of Product. It also exposed me to people outside the direct product team, which is a rare perspective during interviews.

This was one of the best interview processes I've experienced--it was pleasant, quick, and gave me a good understanding of the role and company. It felt like a standard product interview process, but what stood out was their focus on understanding my background, career goals, and ensuring a mutual fit with the company. The people seemed genuinely nice and invested in innovating the real estate investing space.
