Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Senior Manager
The interview process was strenuous, involving many motivation questions like how you found the role, why you applied to Singapore specifically (even if you aren't Singaporean), why you left your previous job, and reasons for not staying at a single company for over 3 years.
- Why did you decide to enter the Singaporean job market?
Community Relations Manager
I had a phone interview, then a Zoom interview with one staff member, followed by another Zoom interview with a group of staff members. They asked a lot of questions and we had a good back-and-forth conversation.
- How would you handle an awkward silence during a presentation?
- What are your motivations for seeking this role?
Development Manager
The hiring process consisted of three interviews. First, I spoke with the person I'd report to directly. Then, I interviewed with some of my potential colleagues. Finally, I had interviews with C-level executives. Communication was really poor throughout the process; there were long stretches of silence from the hiring manager. The team members I did interact with were really nice. However, the C-level folks didn't seem particularly engaged or invested in filling this role.
- Could you list your ten least strong qualities?
- What makes you want to join our company?
