They also asked about my earlier projects and questions based on my CV. Essentially, all the main questions were about turbines, their diagrams, major components, and valves.

I applied online back in December and then got an in-person interview in January. The whole thing was pretty smooth and easy to understand. There were two engineers who interviewed me. They asked about why I wanted to join the company and this specific role, and then got into technical stuff like designing a component and its limits.

Applied online and got invited to an assessment centre in Derby, UK a few months later. The centre was from 8am to 5pm and included an interview, a 10-minute presentation about my skills, a group activity, a re-do of one of the online tests, another group activity, and a technical interview. The technical interview was the toughest part, where I had to look at schematics of a basic oil pump system and figure out what was wrong with it. I was also asked about the Mach number, boundary flow separation and its effects, and how to determine if a system is safe, among other things. Some other candidates had to calculate Eigenvalues, but I didn't have to.
