A recruiter contacted me after seeing my resume and set up a 30-minute phone screening. I did the phone screening, and it went pretty well, though maybe not perfectly. I gave them a good amount of info and they said they'd send it to the hiring manager. Then, I didn't hear anything for two weeks. I only found out I didn't get the job because I saw online that the job posting was closed. They didn't even send a basic automated email to tell me I wasn't selected. It's really frustrating. I don't get how they can spend 30 minutes interviewing someone but not take 5 seconds to send a quick email saying they weren't chosen.

After applying online, there were three online tests. They reviewed these and I was invited to an Assessment Centre in Derby. The Assessment Centre had three parts. First, I gave a presentation and was asked questions about it. Second, there was a technical interview. Third, a group exercise, making a paper aeroplane. The presentation part felt a bit unfair because they asked questions you could only know after working there. The technical interview was a better test of ability rather than just what you remembered. The group exercise was fun but very rushed.
