For the MBA Summer Associate internship, there were two rounds of interviews, both set up through my MBA program. They both happened virtually on Microsoft Teams with Roland Berger consultants from their Chicago office. The first round was with a principal and lasted about 30 minutes. It was pretty relaxed and included a short case that needed some quick math. After that, I moved on to the second round, which actually had two interviews: one with a principal and one with a partner. I talked to the principal first, and it was kind of weird. He was really rude, almost unprofessional, asking mostly behavioral questions but then making sarcastic comments. Then I met with the partner, who was much nicer. He gave me a tougher case than the first round, and I didn't do great on it. I heard back via email a day or two later that I didn't get the position.

I was given 2 case studies and asked some brain teaser questions by the interviewer. They asked me to estimate the number of traffic lights in Beijing using my own experience and hunch for numbers. After I presented my results, they asked about my logic and computation process. Basically, it's a chance for candidates to show their feel for numbers and calculation skills.
