Behavioral Technical Coding Presentation

Applied online for 'Technology Engineer'. Got a call from HR two weeks later to come in. HR started yelling because I didn't reply to her emails, but she put a dot in my email address by mistake. First interview with two division managers, who said they were actually interviewing for 'Firmware Developer' because 'Technology Engineer' isn't a real job, just a lure. No verbal technical questions, just about 2 hours of random chat. Then, a written programming test with C++ questions, focused on multithreading, giving 100 minutes. It was hard, needed excellent programming skills. Second interview for 'Application Engineer'. Had to prepare a presentation on an RF topic, took 2.5 days. The hiring manager didn't pay attention during the presentation and walked out. Then another written test on RF questions. Never heard back about the 'Application Engineer' role. HR is not great, getting an interview depends on luck. Managers decide based on written tests, if your degree has 'RF' or 'electromagnetic', and prior experience in the exact same area.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • The questions mainly focused on checking if candidates had 'RF' or related words like 'electromagnetics' in their academic qualifications or prior work experience matching the role.
