Behavioral Presentation

The store manager was 20 minutes late for the interview. As a store manager myself, being almost half an hour late to an interview is rather pathetic and left a bad taste in my mouth from the start. She was rather unfriendly and used high-pressure tactics to convince me to take the job. After politely turning her offer down due to the low pay ($12 an hour plus an impossible commission goal), she became very defensive and began arguing with me.

I applied via an employee referral and heard back from the store manager for an interview the very next day after submitting my application. A day after that, I had an interview with the district manager. A few days later, the store manager called me with a job offer. The entire process was finished in under a week and was super easy and painless.

It was pretty quick, but if you've worked in retail before, the questions are pretty standard. They also asked about my sales goals and my experience with them. I was asked to sell a product to the manager. I met with the general manager of the store and the district manager. Both interviews were brief, friendly, and welcoming.

You'll have an in person interview with the store manager first, then another in person interview with the District Manager. They're gonna ask a bunch about consultative selling strategies. You gotta have pretty open availability, especially when the holidays come around.
