Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Rogers Communications.
Sales Associate
It was pretty standard, two rounds in total. First, I spoke with the store manager, then with the hiring manager. They asked me about my past experiences and if I had experience in meeting sales targets. A lot of the questions were about teamwork, for example, they asked me to talk about a time I had to communicate a decision to a colleague that might make them unhappy.
- Can you tell me about your previous job?
- Share an example of a difficult situation you encountered.
- How have you handled sales targets in the past?
Sales Associate
The interview process was amazing. I met great people and the overall environment was amazing. It was like exploring unique realities in a video game, venturing alone through infinite, one-of-a-kind renders and trying to communicate the meta. Words sometimes fail to capture these experiences, similar to how people describe profound psychedelic experiences. You can reach these realms by tracing your own personal experiences, often discovering new places.
- Tell me about the difficulty of your previous role.
Sales Associate
So at Rogers, the hiring process usually starts with submitting your application and resume online. If they like it, you might get a call for a phone screen. After that, there could be one or more interviews, either in person or online. They want to see your technical skills, if you know the job well, and if you'll fit in. They ask a lot of behavioral questions and give you scenarios to see how you solve problems and interact with others. For some jobs, you might also have to do tests, give presentations, or show off your skills. They're trying to get a full picture to make sure you're a good fit for Rogers and have what it takes. If everything checks out, they'll offer you the job.
- What motivates you to pursue this particular role?
