First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Robosoft Technologies.
Data Analyst
The interview was just one technical round. It started with me talking a bit about myself and my job, then they asked me some SQL questions. They were basic to intermediate, mostly about how queries work and writing simple ones. It was pretty straightforward, just tested basic SQL stuff.
- Can you start by introducing yourself and detailing your current role and responsibilities?
- Describe the execution process of a SQL query.
- Could you write a SQL query to identify the second highest salary, given only the column names?
Software Engineer
So the interview process starts with Algorithms and Data Structures, where they ask problems usually about arrays, strings, linked lists, trees, graphs, and sorting algorithms. You also need to know and explain the time complexity of your solutions. Then there's a Technical Interview, which is pretty deep. They grill you on Java, like JVM internals, garbage collection, Java 8 stuff (streams, lambdas), and concurrency. Also, Spring Framework is a biggie - Spring Boot, Spring MVC, dependency injection, RESTful services. And database stuff, both SQL and NoSQL, writing complex queries, and transaction management. Finally, there's System Design, where you gotta design scalable and maintainable systems, talk about microservices architecture, and design patterns.
- Can you explain the design patterns used in microservices?
Marketing Communications Executive
My interview experience at the company was excellent. The interviewers were friendly and made me feel at ease from the start. They asked insightful questions relevant to my background and skills, and I appreciated their genuine interest in my experiences. The process was well-organized, with clear communication at each step. Overall, it was a positive and professional experience, leaving me impressed with the company's culture and values.
- Could you start by telling us about yourself?
- Please elaborate on your experience.
Senior iOS Developer
I was contacted by two HRs for different projects. The first HR set up a 15-minute screening call where I discussed my work history and current project. It took two weeks to get feedback. Meanwhile, another HR scheduled a one-hour technical interview for a different project, covering basic Swift and iOS concepts. I got positive feedback within 15 minutes and they wanted to schedule a second round, which focused on app architecture and design patterns. I received feedback the next day that I passed. Then, the HR called to discuss salary. I had already shared my expectations, but she mentioned it would be challenging to meet them, though she'd try. Two days later, she called again, stating they could offer a maximum 10% hike. I informed them about a competing offer with a 40% hike, and they confirmed they couldn't exceed 10%. It felt like a waste of time since they didn't have the budget.
- Can you shift all the zeros to the right in an integer array?
- Explain how to implement the MVVM design pattern.
- Discuss your understanding of SOLID principles.
