First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Robert Half.
Paralegal
The interview was over the phone and they seemed rushed. I offered to come in for an in-person interview, but they said it had to be done by phone. They didn't seem very prepared when they were talking about my resume. Like many recruiters, they are really hard to get in touch with. They might tell you about a job, ask you to apply, and then you never hear back from them. It's unprofessional, and in other jobs, not calling or emailing back clients after trying multiple times would get you fired, but that's not how the recruiting business works.
- Did you have a preference for contract versus direct hire work?
- What was the maximum distance you were willing to travel for a job assignment?
Paralegal
The interview process was great! I met with two people in the office, and they were both professional and personable. After arriving, I was taken to a nice conference room. The recruiter then spoke with me about my resume and what I'm looking for in an employer. They also discussed current opportunities at the company.
- In the long term, where do you envision your career progressing?
Legal Assistant
Staffing agents in Miami tend to be rude and unprofessional, not returning calls or emails. Interviews are usually over the phone. They say they'll call back in an hour but don't. When you try to call them, they're unavailable. Focus on yourself and don't let unprofessional people derail your job search. If you're unemployed, your job search is your full-time job. Be patient with the market and yourself. Don't lose faith in your goals or feel pressured into a low-paying job.
- Could you share if you are married or have children?
