So first there was a recruiter call, then a virtual meeting with the hiring manager where they asked some basic engineering questions about the production line and equipment. There were also some behavior questions. It wasn't too difficult, I just wasn't really prepared because I was mostly just curious about how the job market looked.

Behavioral Technical

All the interviews happened over Google Meet. I had five interviews in total. First, I talked to the recruiter. Then, I spoke with the hiring manager. After that, I had three more interviews with different peers and managers of the hiring manager. It was a lengthy process, but everyone I talked to was professional and easy to approach. Sadly, I didn't get the job. The only feedback I got was that another candidate was a better fit. I'm not sure if five interviews are standard or if I was a finalist, but the entire interview process took more than a month before they made their decision. Bummer...

Technical System Design Behavioral

The whole thing took about 2 weeks. Started with a regular screening, then I talked to a manager, and finished with a virtual onsite panel that included technical, system design, and behavioral questions. They rejected me a week after that. Overall, it was a pretty good experience, the recruiters were super responsive. All the interviews felt like conversations, but they still made sure to leave time for my questions and gave really thorough answers. It would have been nice to get actual feedback after the final stage though, instead of just an automated "unfortunately" rejection.

Technical Coding

Interviewed at the CA location. The interviewer seemed new and was more nervous than me. I didn't like the experience because I felt I could have done better, but the interviewer kept giving hints assuming I didn't know the answers. The way questions were asked didn't make sense, and when I tried to clarify, the interviewer again assumed I didn't know. I was excited for this opportunity and wish I had a better interviewer.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • What are your thoughts on RTOS?
  • Can you do some coding questions in C?
