First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Riverfront Marketing.
Sales
The first interview was short and nice. The next interview was supposed to be a full day job shadow from 9 to 5:30. I got there on time and met my sales escort. He immediately drove us 2.5 hours to his sales district. We visited small businesses to sell them office supplies. Then we drove another half hour and went door to door selling office supplies in a small town. I felt awkward and rude everywhere we went. He was very pushy, forcing his way into businesses and bothering people to buy ink and printer paper even when it was clear they weren't interested. I was embarrassed to be with him. I decided I didn't want the job around noon but was stuck with this person until he drove us back. It was a complete waste of time. This company isn't worth it. The pay for entry level is only $400 a week plus bonuses.
- He asked me a lot of personal questions because we were together all day, which felt like a forced blind date and was super awkward.
Sales
The initial interview was a brief, in-person meeting at their office, lasting about 10-15 minutes. I received a quick response about a second interview. This second round took place a week later and involved a full day of job shadowing from 9 to 5. It included accompanying 1 to 2 sales executives around town to observe their daily activities. Details about compensation and potential for career advancement were covered during this second interview.
- What sparked your interest in marketing?
- What makes you think you'd be a good fit for our company?
- What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
Sales
It was a really quick process. The person interviewing me was nice but stayed very professional. Honestly, one of the best I've been through. They told me about the job and what I'd need to do to advance in the company.
- Can you tell me about your experience level?
