Server/Waiter
It was a good experience. Confidence is key. Food and beverage knowledge is very important and the process is smooth and fast. Good place to work. There are challenges here and there, but overall, the experience has been helpful for a person passionate about this role and wants to grow.
- Can you explain the sequence of service?
Cook
It was a 3 step process, first the cooking trial, then interview with department head, then interview with executive Chef and finally HR. interview was kind of interesting once you pass first interview then you need to wait for a email, then if you do get call for 2nd interview then you get to go through more technical part questions.
- Can you tell me about The Ritz-Carlton?
- What makes you want to work here?
- What is The Ritz-Carlton credo?
Server
I had two interviews, and I had to wait about 45 minutes for each one. So don't expect to be done quickly. The first interview was longer, focusing on my history with the company and what makes me unique. I talked about how much I love the Ritz-Carlton and Marriott and how I'd love to build a career there. I even prepared by learning the company credo beforehand. The second interview was super short, maybe 20 seconds. The interviewer asked who had interviewed me and a couple of the same questions as before, and then they offered me the job.
- Tell me about times you faced specific situations and what actions you took.
- Can you describe your past experiences and history?
- What makes you unique or different from other applicants?
