First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ritz-Carlton.
Concierge
We met in the lobby for a quick chat with the head supervisor. They told me all about the job and what the scheduling would be like. We also took a tour of the Ritz, which was really nice and informative. The AI scheduling for the interview was super easy to work with and they sent great text updates.
- What is your availability to begin working?
Concierge
I interviewed with 3 people and they asked me questions. We talked a lot about customer service and different scenarios about how I would react. They also let me shadow the front desk so I could get a feel for the job.
- What are your 5-year career goals?
Concierge
I applied online at the Ritz-Carlton careers website and the whole process took 3 weeks. About a week after applying, the Chef Concierge reached out and scheduled me for an in-person interview. They asked me basic STAR questions and also went into detail about my resume. The second interview was with the Front Office Manager. This one was more laid-back, just to get to know me better and ask about my experience and resume. It wasn't a structured interview at all. My third and last interview was with the Director of Rooms. This was also a get-to-know-you type of interview, and they asked about general company and property knowledge. I got the job offer right then and there.
- Can you tell me about a challenging guest interaction you've had, including the steps you took and the final result?
- Could you share an instance of teamwork, detailing your part, the actions you took, and the outcome?
- Can you elaborate on your resume?
