The whole hiring thing was super easy. I applied online after using the job search tool to find roles in my area that I was interested in. They invited me to pick an interview date and time from a few choices. I interviewed with the store manager, who was great - really down-to-earth, and we clicked right away. The interview felt more like a chat between friends, which made me feel comfortable and I could just be myself. They made an offer, which I accepted. Now I'm just waiting on the background and drug test.

I was a rehire who hadn't worked there for almost 30 years, but I skipped some requirements like the drug test. It was a pretty easy process. I had to answer some behavioral questions, which I was ready for. The store managers really care about loss prevention. I think my "I just hate a thief!" comment helped me get the job.

I had been a clerk for a while, and was then offered an assistant manager position. I had already completed all the required training and had received recognition for my years of loyal service. I transferred to a new store, and that is where I noticed the company was changing. RiteAid is not known for being consistent, but I put up with it because I really wanted to continue working for the company my mother had worked at for so many years, and she was the one who got me into it.
