Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Rita's Water Ice.
Sales Associate
The interview process was overall simple and quick. It was a typical interview process with your usual Q and A. References are a good idea and helpful but not really necessary.
- How would you deal with an unhappy customer?
Sales Associate
After applying, there's an interview, then you start a week of orientation. After that, you train with an associate for a bit. Then you're on your own. The interview is pretty standard service type questions. Good luck!
- What's your approach to dealing with a challenging customer?
Sales Associate
I applied and got a call back within a week. The interview was scheduled for 4 hours after that initial phone call. The manager was really nice and seemed keen on finding someone who would be a good fit for the team. She really liked my personality and me, but they do expect non-stop work. I didn't get the job in the end because I would be away during the Fourth of July week. That's understandable for an ice cream shop that wants everyone working during a holiday.
